Wow, the Wedding is just one week away!!! I can't believe it is finally here. Pretty much everything is now done, except paying off the balance for the honeymoon and also paying for the food for the rehearsal dinner. Everyone should be arriving by sometime on Thursday, and then on to the festivities. The Bachelor Party and Lingerie Party are both Thursday night, the rehearsal and dinner are Friday and The wedding is at 1PM on Saturday at Calvary Chapel Lynchburg, with the reception following at Hyland Heights Baptist Church. I can't wait for it all to be behind us. The stress these last few weeks has been unreal. We finally have our apartment set up too, and will be moving in Wednesday. Actually, we will move our stuff in and Jewell will stay there, and then after the wedding I will move in and finally be done with my apartment!!! If you are coming, then we already know that, and will see you there, if you were unable to travel, we understand that things sometimes come up, and you will be missed! Anyways, that is all for now. I will update again later this week, or shortly after the wedding while we are off on our honeymoon, well maybe, if I get the chance, LOL! Talk to you all later and see you soon.

February 1st update...
We have gotten a lot done recently and still have more to go. We have set up the reception site and the caterer and have decided at last discussion to go with cupcakes as opposed to a cake. We have also been looking for a rehearsal dinner site. Another thing that we have been thinking about, but aren't sure about is the possibility of going on a missions trip to Russia for our honeymoon. Our church is going there about 5 days after the wedding and we have been praying to see if that is where God wants us to go. Also be praying for us concerning another issue, that I will keep unspoken at this time. It is something that has been adding to the stress of the wedding. Oh and Dammy has done a great job with the invitation as you can see here:
The wording is not final, he just put it on there to show what it would look like. Jewell and I love it and we love Dammy for the great work he has done on designing it. He really is talented. Anyways, I think that is it for now. Check back later for more about our wedding.

Orders are in for the dresses and tuxes...
Well, the latest thing we have done is decide what styles and colors everyone in the wedding party will wear. The girls have all been notified how to go about ordering them and the guys have all been told where to go get measured and how to get theirs as well. We won't say on this page what the colors are yet, but if you know us pretty well, I think you can guess most of them, lol. Well just giving a lit bit of an update, keep checking back every so often to see what else is new!!!

Sorry it has been so long
Well, it has been a few months since I last posted and there has been several things that need to be updated. First of all, the wedding is STILL ON for June 23, 2007. We are however, trying to determine which church we are going to have it at. We no longer go to Berean and are now going to Calvary Chapel here in L-burg. It is kind of a long story that I don't want to get into here. This doesn't change any of the people that are in the wedding, except the "flower children." We haven't figured out a whole lot more yet, since things have been kind of hectic with Jewell's thesis and with school starting again meaning I have worked a ton of overtime recently. We have purchased more supplies for the centerpieces recently but that is about it. Well, check back soon for more updates! I will try to stay more on top of this and keep you all updated more regularly.

More Purchases made this past week...
We have recently figured out our centerpieces for the tables at the reception. We don't have the reception hall figured out completely yet, but we know what is going on the tables!!! I won't tell what they are yet, because that would give it away, but I will say it is colorful and includes fire!!! Don't worry, it will still be safe for everyone, except maybe the crazy people that we invite! Just remember, "Don't play with fire, or you're gonna get burned!!!"
I am also beginning the process of planning where Jewell and I will go on our honeymoon. Even after we decide on a location though, we aren't going to tell anyone where we are going, that way no one can follow us. I need to figure out just how much I can afford to spend before we determine where we can go, so be in prayer for us as we continue to plan the wedding and all that it entails. That is all for now, as far as I can remember, so keep checking back to see what else is new!

Purchases made so far
We have begun making some of the purchases necessary for us to get married next June. A few weeks ago, we bought the rings at Carlyle & Company, or rather we put them on lay-away. Also this past week Jewell found her dress and has paid over half of the cost of it already. This coming week while I am out of town she is also meeting with the caterer and possibly with the reception site. I am really looking forward to next summer and it is good to see things progressing as they are.
On another note, we have officially gotten the wedding party finalized. Katie responded not to long after the last post and Tandilyn responded recently with a resounding YES!!! The only people we have yet to ask are the parents of the "flower children" and that is because we still are working through a little bit and want to make sure we make the right decisions concerning them. We have also figured out the styles of the vests and ties for the groomsmen and possibly the colors. We may have to wait until January to officially say the colors due to changes each calendar year with the Tux companies styles and color schemes. We know the basic colors though, but we will wait until later to release that information, just incase something changes. Well, that is all for now, check back soon to find out what else is new in the planning process!

Groomsmen are now finalized!
Hey, I finally got to talk to the final two groomsmen that I wanted to take part in the wedding. I asked them both this past weekend. Now, added to Kevin and Dammy are John Autry and Dan Spahn. Dan was the tougher of the two to track down, since the last time I had talked to him, he and his wife Candice have moved several times. Oh and they have 1 child with another on the way. It was good to catch back up with Dan and hopefully I can continue to keep in touch with him. All we have left to finalize are two of the bridesmaids. Katie and Tandilyn have already been asked, but we are just waiting on a definite answer as to whether or not they can come. We also need to contact the parents of our flower girl and ring bearer (flower children as Jewell puts it!) and our wedding party will be complete. Check back soon to see what else is going on...oh and as always feel free to post comments to any of the posts that are here on the site (if you know us that is!)

Two more confirmed...
Well, we have confirmed two more of the people that are going to be part of our wedding party. Last night we spent time with Dammy and Michelle Onafowokan, who are great freinds of ours from Liberty. We have asked them to be part of the wedding party and to be sort of the surrogate Best Man/ Matron of Honors. The actual Best Man and Matron of Honor both are from out of town, so to have Dammy and Michelle help out with the stuff that has to be done locally (i.e.- bridal shower, bachelor party, etc.), things will go a little smoother. As far as the Wedding day duties, the actual Best Man and Matron of Honor will still take care of those. Another thing that Dammy and Michelle will be helping us with is the design of our wedding invitations. Dammy was a Graphic Design major and has a plethora of fonts to choose from, so although they won't cost what professional ones do, they won't lose any of the professional look. Also, they will be more personalized than you can get with most of the invitations that you order professionally. When our invitations are created, one will be posted here, with the options you have of responding to them. Well, that is all for the updates this time, keep checking back to see what else is new.

Who will be part of our Wedding?
We have determined who we would like to take part in our wedding, we atleats the Bridesmaids and Groomsmen. We still haven't notified them all, yet, so we won't list them here until we can do so. This may take a little while since one of the guys I would like to take part, has moved and I don't have his new address or phone number. I do have his parents information, so I may try and get in contact with him through them. Just keep us in prayer as we continue to work out the details for our wedding. It will still be awhile before we send out invitations, so if any of you are planning a move, let us know what your new address will be before we send them out.

News so far...
...We have set the date as is stated at the top of the blog and we have determined who we are going to have perform the ceremony. We have chosen Dr. James Freerksen, who was our first pastor as a couple and the wedding will be at Berean Baptist Church in Lynchburg, VA. We will also be starting premarital counseling, which will begin this Wednesday. We are currently working on how many people we are able to invite, as well as who our groomsmen and bridesmaids are going to be. This won't necessarily be an easy decision, with the exception of the Best Man, Kevin Gorton, because a lot of things will be taken into account. We have also picked out our rings which we have put on order at Carlyle & Co. Well that is all the news that I can think of right now, atleast that is already figured out for sure. More will come as we make new decisions and as time draws closer.
